WORDS & Bromsgrove Library present Jo Bell, the first Canal Laureate, and former director of National Poetry Day in the UK.  Jo is a warm, witty personality, well-known from her performances at festivals. Her poems cover friendship, sex and canal life.

You might recognise her from recent Nationwide adverts. Stuart Maconie describes her as ‘lively, sexy and deft’.  Carol Ann Duffy calls her ‘one of the most exciting poets writing today.’ Jo will be reading previously unheard new poems and extracts from her R4 docupoem “Slow Machine.
